Megan was excited to deliver 25 gift-filled shoe boxes to the local drop off center.

Our employees at SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati are honored to have the opportunity to give to those in need. Our most recent project has been to work on the Operation Christmas Child Ministry Project through the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Organization. Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine.

Shoe Boxes Filled with Gifts

Operation Christmas Child is a Ministry Project that brings joy and hope to needy children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes. Since 1993, more than 100 million shoe box gifts have been delivered to children in more than 130 countries!

When introduced with the opportunity to participate in this project, SERVPRO of Northwest Cincinnati employees were thrilled to have the chance to prepare a gift-filled shoebox for a child in need. Much thought was put into each box, shopping for items that the children will love! Boxes were wrapped in Christmas paper and then filled with small toys, hygiene items, candy and school supplies. Dolls, stuffed toys, books, action figures, balls, hats, socks and books are some of the items that went into the boxes. Some employees included a personal note and an address with the hopes of receiving a letter back from the child that receives the box. Finally, tracking labels were printed and affixed to the boxes. This enables one to see exactly where the box goes. Lastly, the boxes were dropped off at one of the local drop-off locations during collection week.

The Joy of Giving

Employees were very excited to participate in this project. Some even chose to prepare multiple boxes for children of different age groups. We are so happy to know that our shoeboxes will help bring joy to children in need during this holiday season!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM SERVPRO OF NORTHWEST CINCINNATI!
